World Mental Health Day

As today, 10th October, is World Mental Health Day, let’s take a look at what some of the ITP’s UK and programme partners are doing to mark the day.

The Horniman Museum is running a full day of activities for families on Saturday, led by their community partners, including SLaM Recovery College and Three Cs. This includes a ‘DIY Happiness Game’ and activities around connecting with nature. Read more here.

Manchester Art Gallery is offering ‘Therapeutic Thursday’ this week, with activities exploring mindfulness – including spoken word, movement, art making and tours. Read more here.

Shipley Art Gallery, part of Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums, is putting on a drop-in session today where residents can find out about local mental health services while enjoying art activities, live music and free food and refreshments. Read more here.

The Holburne Museum in Bath is hosting a coffee morning today with activities, organised by members of their ongoing Paths to Wellbeing groups. Read more here.

The Centre for Contemporary Art (CCA) in Glasgow is presenting the film festival and associated workshops and talks as part of the Scotland-wide annual Scottish Mental Health Festival, which begins today and runs until 29 October. Read more here.
