Learning to reach new audiences: Joyce

My participation in the ICTP 2009 at eh British Museum was a wonderful opportunity during which I learnt a lot on all fronts. Socially it was fabulous living and learning with people from all over the world. Several good friendships were formed.

More importatly, the training programme was intensive and extensive, covering everythin including conservation, storage, housekeeping, display and so on.

For me, what I have learnt, and which I would like to apply at home is how to use objects in my museum to teach as well as making the museum more appealing to young visitors and familities. I would also like to see the museum to begin to appeal to adults who are not necessarily interested in archaeology.
