“Reflections of the ITP 2006-2010”

The BM had finally published the book that we where waiting for ” Towards a Global Network, Reflections of the ITP 2006-2010″. Really the book is amazing, it illustrates the reflection of past participants (2006-2010) and the experience they gained after attending the program, which truly some of the stories where really amazing. They were very special and had that positive power of determinations, planning and always looking for bright future. While reading the book it recalls all nice memories to my mind back to 2009, (which where like flashes) Its great to know about your friends, colleges that have participated at the ICTP and hear their stories. (Which I hope it will always be full of success) 🙂 !!

Well let’s recall some nice sayings : ”

“The ITP broadened (my) insight to museum work and also the opportunity to see how to apply local materials in my museum in terms of storage and installation” Gertrude Aba Manasah Eyifa,Ghana

“I learned to make the museum a place for family. I noticed that on the weekend the family goes to the British Museum to spend the whole day and the museum provides facilities that day” Soad Fyez Mhrous Ebid, Egypt

Its important to draw on experience from others rather than close our door to the outside wourld. Standing on the shoulders of a giant will make you see futher and think deeper”

Sun Jing, China

“I have gained a network of Museums professionals from around the world whom i can contact with quires on various challenges. I face the process of doing my work. I can also look to them for inspiration” Lydia Nafula, Kenya

“I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the international trainees and taking them on a guided tour of Blakesley Hall. I was really enjoyable to share our experience of the heritage sector, both here and abroad, and to chat in general. I would love to take part in the programme again!”

Anne-Marie Hayes, Museum Assistant , Blakesley Hall Museum.

I also liked Nilanjan Banerjee taking the words of Alber Einstein in his text ” I do not need to know everything. I just need to know where to find it when i need it”.

Still their are more and more of comments, sayings, about each ones experience, which i think it would develop more and more to be something great, let’s say after 5-10 years, who knows, since this world is fully of surprises and secrets

“All that we are is a result of what we have thought” Budah (563-483 BC)

Well finally, I wish you all my best guys, from past participants, newly participants and all future participants in this programme, its really been a great experience with much benefits and great reflections.

If you have any comments, suggestions or any ideas to open a discussion please don’t hesitate to do it here or at the faceebook group 😀 … that would be great
