Reflecting on ITP 2018, and Looking Ahead Towards to ITP 2019!

On Friday, we invited the representatives from the International Training Programme’s UK Partner museums down to the British Museum to participate in an evaluation meeting of the 2018 summer programme.

UK Partners 1

UK Partner reps Ronan Brindley (Manchester Art Gallery), Sarah Gore (Norfolk Museums Service) and Martin Bellamy (Glasgow Museums) with Becca

We discussed the successes of this year’s programme and what we can do to tweak the programme for next year’s cohort.

UK Partners 3

Meeting underway! UK Partner reps Louise Smyth (National Museums Northern Ireland), Ronan Brindely, Campbell Price (Manchester Museum), Liam McNamara (Ashmolean Museum), Sarah Gore and Martin Bellamy with Claire and Becca

The representatives from the curatorial departments of the British Museum that hosted ITP fellows during this year’s summer programme joined everyone for lunch, and then we held a meeting with them as well.

BM Reps

Claire speaks with BM department representatives Katherine Coleman (Africa, Oceania & the Americas) and Zeina Klink-Hoppe (Middle East)

There were many lovely things said about the 2018 fellows, of course! And it was agreed that Object in Focus was a big success.

We look forward to sharing with you regular updates with you over the next months on how the programme for 2019 is coming along.
