ITP Team Goodbyes

Written by Claire Messenger, International Training Programme Manager

I have some news to share with our International Training Programme (ITP) network of Fellows and Partners.  I’m sad to announce that both Becca and Jess will be leaving the ITP next week.

Becca will be joining the International Engagement team here at the British Museum, as Project Manager: International Engagement. I hope this will mean that she will still have the opportunity to meet our new ITP participants for the 2019 summer programme and also be here to welcome any of you if you are back in the Museum.

Jess will be moving to Tate to work as the Coordinator for the British Art Network (a subject specialist network bringing together UK researchers, curators & academics working on British art) and although she won’t be here at the BM it will mean that you will have a contact at Tate if needed and I’m sure she’ll be very happy to hear from you in her new role.

With EmmaAs you know, both Becca and Jess have been vital members of the ITP team over the past few years and have done so much to help shape and create both the summer programme and our legacy projects. Their skills and experience have been invaluable to the programme and I can safely say that their creativity, enthusiasm, hard work and professionalism – as well as their kindness and generosity – have had a real and lasting impact on the network.

I hope you will all join me wishing Becca and Jess great success in their new roles – I’m going to miss them so much, and I’m sure you will too.

Becca and Jess will be posting and sending their own ‘goodbyes’ next week so you’ll be able to hear more about their plans for the future and I’ll look forward to sharing with you details of our new ITP team members over the next few weeks. Sad but exciting times I’m sure you’ll agree!!
