Biography

Maryam is an exhibition designer and coordinator at M7, one of Qatar’s leading creative hubs. As an Exhibition Designer and Project Coordinator at M7, Maryam develops and delivers exhibitions, pop-ups, and creative installations that transform curatorial ideas into engaging spatial experiences. Maryam’s work combines creative direction, technical design, and project management to ensure each exhibitions communicate a strong narrative and maintains the highest visual and production standards.

Within this role, Maryam develops and delivers exhibition design concepts from initial spatial planning through to installation. Her work includes exhibition layouts, showcase integration, display detailing, and the preparation of technical drawings and elevations for fabrication and on-site execution. Maryam collaborates closely with artists, curators, and graphic designers to align every element from materials and colours to typography and storytelling with the exhibitions vision and M7’s brand identity.

Beyond design, Maryam coordinates the full project cycle from concept to handover, including managing budgets, schedules, suppliers, and installation teams. This involves reviewing technical documents, supervising on site work, and ensuring every component from mounts to display systems meets aesthetic and functional requirements; whilst additionally overseeing logistics such as shipping, installation sequencing, and artwork handling in coordination with operations and insurance teams.

Professionally, Maryam is passionate about exhibition design, narrative-driven spaces, and creating meaningful visitor experiences. Her approach integrates creativity with precision, transforming cultural concepts into meaningful environments.

Maryam holds a degree in Architecture and Urban Planning from Qatar University.

During her time on the International Training Programme, Maryam was based in the Middle East Department. Her UK Partner Placement was spent at Norfolk Museums Service.
