College of Fine Arts, Tehran University

The College of Fine Arts is one of the oldest and largest colleges of the University of Tehran. It is considered the founder of various fields of art in Iran within an academic framework. The College started its activities in November 1939, with a primary focus on the three fields of Architecture, Painting, and Sculpture. Now, 70 years after its establishment, it has a special stature in the eyes of Iranians, particularly in the areas of Art, Architecture and Urban Planning.

In 2005, the Faculty of Fine Arts was expanded into the College of Fine Arts consisting of four faculties of Visual Arts, Architecture, Urban Planning, Performing Arts and Music, and a research institute titled, Culture and Arts. At present, the College has 105 faculty members.  (University of Tehran)
