Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies

The Indian Institute of Research in Numismatic Studies is a research institute with a focus on Indian numismatics. The Institute contains a collection of coins from ancient to modern day and is run by a team of researchers who conduct research using the collection and library, host annual training days and publish work including the Annual Research Journal. The institute is home to a museum which offers a panoramic view of Indian coins through the ages and covers topics including coin minting, striking techniques, moulds and replicas.

The Institute was born in 1980 and registered as a Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. Since then, the Institute has earned international recognition as a storehouse and an institute for training numismatists. (https://nashik.com/iirns/)
