Biography

Thuy is the Head of the Department of Education and Community at the Vietnam National Museum of History. Thuy is primarily responsible for organising educational activities to engage and benefit the community, with a particular focus on developing programmes for children. These activities span various settings, including museums, schools, and online platforms.

Thuy is also actively involved in the organisation of exhibitions, contributing to the preparation of exhibition content for the new Vietnam National Museum of History project. She also holds the position of Secretary for the Museum’s Scientific Council, supporting its academic and research endeavours.

Thuy’s expertise in museum exhibition activities stems from her ten years of experience in the Department of Exhibition and Propaganda at the Vietnam Revolution Museum, before becoming a member of the Board for Content Development and Exhibition Design for the New National Museum of History within the Vietnam History Museum in 2006.

In her role at the Vietnam National Museum of History – the leading institution within Vietnam’s society and history museum system – Thuy often collaborates with colleagues from other museums across Vietnam, sharing knowledge, experiences and practical skills in the development of education programmes.

At the British Museum
During her time at the British Museum, Thuy was based in the Asia Department and her UK partner placement was spent at Norfolk Museums Service.

Thuy’s participation in the International Training Programme was generously supported by the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust.
