Biography

Salem graduated from the Technical Institute, Engineering department in 2001 and has been working at the Museum of Libya in the Department Of Human Resource since 2006. He is particularly experienced in IT, photography and manipulation of software programmes. He organises workshops and meetings related to archaeological materials.

At the British Museum
During his time on the International Training Programme in 2012, Salem was based in the Department of Greece and Rome and his partner placement was spent at The Collection: Art and Archaeology in Lincolnshire and Nottingham University Museum.

In 2012 an element of the programme was a series of presentations, in which groups of participants presented a 10-minute illustrated talk, prompted by the task to consider a new display at the British Museum.  Salem’s exhibition project proposal was entitled Olympic Heroes.
