Biography

Farhad is a Curator of the Numismatic Collection at the National Museum of Afghanistan in Kabul. His role involves collection management, including the packing, storing and display of objects. Farhad is also interested in the planning and design of exhibitions. Farhad’s specialism lies in Kushan and Islamic coins.

He writes and edits texts for publications.

At the British Museum
During his time on the International Training Programme in 2011, Farhad was based in the Middle East Department. His exhibition project proposal was entitled Crossroads of the ancient world.

In 2011 participants were asked to develop a proposal for a small temporary exhibition using an object from the British Museum’s collections. Farhad’s exhibition project proposal was entitled Crossroads of the ancient world.

Farhad’s place on the International Training Programme was generously supported by Afghanistan, Crossroads of the Ancient World, exhibition.
