Biography

Jomi Davlatov’s professional interests include the coordination of museum programmes, socio-cultural projects, museum HR, audience relations and engagement, and working alongside donors and trustees.

As a Specialist in Excursions and Public Engagement at the National Museum of Tajikistan, Jomi undertakes a wide range of activities. His responsibilities include education (tours in Tajik and English for different visitor groups; development of museum education activities for schools and adults); marketing and promotion, including internet resources; and fundraising.

At the British Museum
On the 2015 International Training Programme, Jomi was based in the Middle East Department. His UK Partner museum was Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums, Newcastle.

Jomi’s exhibition project proposal was entitled Golden Chariot: The Oxus Treasure.

Jomi’s place on the International Training Programme was generously supported by the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust.
