Biography

As a curator at Sudan National Museum Huda is responsible for the study of the museum collection, including opening up the collection internationally by preparing for research visits. She is particularly interested in exhibitions, storage and conservation.

Huda’s research interests lie in the study of the role of women and the drawings of Egyptian and Nubian pottery.

At the British Museum
During her time on the International Training Programme in 2012, Huda was based in Department of Egypt and Sudan and her partner placement was spent at Manchester Art Gallery and Manchester Museum.

In 2012 an element of the programme was a series of presentations, in which groups of participants presented a 10-minute illustrated talk, prompted by the task to consider a new display at the British Museum.  Huda’s exhibition project proposal was entitled Sudanese Birds.

Huda’s place on the ITP was generously supported by the Marie-Louise von Motesiczky Charitable Trust.
