Biography

Ghalia is the Director of the Sudan National Museum in Khartoum.

In 2010 participants were asked to develop a proposal for a small temporary exhibition – based on British Museum objects – on some aspect of their own cultures. Ghalia’s exhibition project proposal, with colleague Abdelrahman Siddig, was entitled The Kushite Period Funeral Practice.

Legacy projects
In October 2018 Ghalia attended the ITP+ Course on Museum Interpretation in Aswan. Fellows and colleagues from Egypt, Sudan and around the world listened to interpretation case studies, participated in project work, sessions on label & panel writing and panel discussions on audience surveys and evaluations. The course was hosted by the Nubian Museum.
