Biography

Chun Chen is a Registrar in the Collections Management Department of Hubei Provincial Museum. Her role involves the registration, storage and exhibition of the collection. Chun Chen’s research interests include ancient Chinese jade and lacquerware before the Han Dynasty.

At the British Museum
During her time on the International Training Programme in 2011, Chun Chen was based in the Department of Asia and her partner placement was spent at Birmingham Museums Trust.

In 2011 participants were asked to develop a proposal for a small temporary exhibition using an object from the British Museum’s collections. Chun Chen’s exhibition project proposal was entitled Chinese Lacquer from the 4th century BC to the 2nd century AD in The British Museum.
