Biography

Jing Sun works as deputy department director in charge of foreign exchanges and international museum alliances in the International Department at the National Museum of China. Jing Sung has published papers on Government Indemnity Benefits International Exhibitions: on UK Government Indemnity Scheme, Safety and Security Management of the Temporary International Exhibitions – with the National Museum of China as an example.

Previously, Jing Sun worked as section chief in charge of foreign exchanges in the International Department at the National Museum of China

Academically, she was promoted to an Associate Research Fellow in late 2015.

 

At the British Museum

During her time on the International Training Programme in 2008, Jing was based in the Department of Asia and her partner placement was spent at Glasgow Museums.

Legacy Projects

In March 2010 Jing Sun attended the Cairo Conference Towards a global network where she presented a paper on what she had gained both professionally and personally, from attending the ITP and her career development since the programme.

Continued dialogue

In 2012, Jing helped to organise a three-way partnership exhibition Passion for Porcelain: Masterpieces of Ceramics from the British Museum and the Victoria & Albert Museum in Beijing with the British Museum, the V&A Museum and the National Museum of China. In 2016, she worked as project coordinator with the loans of artefacts for the exhibition A History of the World in 100 Objects from the British Museum.
