Biography
Mei Dong is primarily responsible for communication and coordination within National Museum of China’s international exhibitions sector; helping curators to communicate with international counterparts in English: translating agreements: creating object lists and catalogues: interpreting during installation, dismantling and opening ceremonies. Mei Dong’s other duties include, international conference organisation, planning and logistics and communication. In 2017 the British Museum’s touring exhibition A History of the World in 100 objects opened at National Museum of China.

During her time on the International Training Programme in 2013, Mei Dong was based in the Asia Department and her partner placement was spent at Bristol Museums, Galleries and Archives.
Mei Dong’s exhibition project proposal was entitled Scenery in Pear Garden: Chinese Opera.
