Xiaojing Ren

Biography

Xiaojing Ren is a website editor, responsible for the official website of Shanxi Museum, which contains information on current exhibitions, activities and up to date news. She is also responsible for the museum’s social media including their official weibo account and micro letters. Xiaojing Ren also plan online activities to coincide with the museum’s temporary exhibitions and permanent displays.

At the British Museum
During her time on the International Training Programme in 2013, Xiaojing Ren was based in the Asia Department and her partner placement was spent at Manchester Art Gallery and Manchester Museum.

In 2013 participants are asked to prepare a project outlining an exhibition proposal based on the space and programme for the British Museum’s Asahi Shimbun Displays in Room 3. Xiaojing Ren’s exhibition project proposal was entitled Ritual and Entertainment: A Chinese bronze bell.

Xiaojing Ren’s place on the International Training Programme was generously supported by National Museum of China.
