We are looking for an ITP Fellow who identifies as a new, emerging leader or is looking to develop their leadership and management skills to enable their career development.  This person will benefit – both personally and professionally – from a short programme which focusses on leadership and management.

You will be invited to join us between 29 October – 6 November 2022 at the British Museum for three days focussing on museums and leadership followed by three days at the Museums Association (MA) conference and exhibition, Edinburgh.

Sessions at the British Museum will share experiences and knowledge from across the sector and provide practical tips and hints to support the successful candidate’s leadership skills.  Sessions will allow you to assess your leadership style and look at areas such as governance; crisis management; leading change; collaborative leadership; digital transformation; civic leadership; wellbeing; diversity and inclusion; leadership in action and managing resources.

There will also be the opportunity to visit museums and galleries around London.

The MA conference will take place on 3 – 5 November 2022 at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC).

This year’s conference will explore how museums can create better places to live and work in a post-Covid world. To do this, museums need to tackle a number of crucial issues, including the climate crisis, inequalities and racism, the legacy of empire, and wellbeing.

There will also be the opportunity to spend time at museums, galleries and heritage sites in and around Edinburgh.

There will be just one place for this opportunity but five ITP fellows from Armenia, Egypt, Romania, Rwanda and Uzbekistan will be joining the ITP team in Edinburgh to enable wider discussions, networking and potential collaborations with the place awarded through an open and competitive application process.
