Elaine Addington speaking at Cafesjian Center for the Arts, Yerevan
Today, we were delighted to catch up with Elaine Addington, Open Museum Curator at Glasgow Museums Resource Centre, who spoke at the Learning, Engagement and Museums conference in Yerevan this time last year.

Open Museum 1The Open Museum takes Glasgow Museums’ collections beyond the museum walls and into its communities, through the creation of handling kits, travelling exhibitions, community-based exhibitions and partnership project work. Elaine informed us about current and recent projects organised by The Open Museum, Open Museum 4particularly those striving to highlight homelessness in the city, including a pop-up exhibition at a Glasgow shopping centre and a two-afternoon event at GOMA just a couple of weeks ago called From the Street: Actions on Homelessness.

And of course, we also reminisced about the Yerevan trip and talked about exciting upcoming ITP initiatives!
