ITP Conference Grant report!!

We were delighted to award an ITP Conference Grant 2025 to Nyaz Azeez Awmar, Director & Archaeologist, Koya Civilization Museum (Kurdistan, ITP 2019).

Nyaz used his grant to take part in the World Archaeological Congress (WAC-10) which was held at Flinders University College of Humanities, Art & Social Sciences, Northern Institute at Charles, Darwin, Australia from 22-28 June 2025.

Nyaz presented a paper to the conference titled Deconstructing inequality in scientific communication: The challenge of preserving memories and raising cultural awareness in the region of Koisanjaq/Koya, Iraq and you can read more about his presentation and the conference in his final report here.
