ITP Conference Grant awarded to Beatrice Adeola Bamigbade (Nigeria, ITP Fellow 2022)
Written by Claire Messenger, Manager, International Training Programme.
In July we were delighted to award an ITP Conference Grant 2024 to Beatrice Adeola Bamigbade (Nigeria, ITP Fellow 2022).
Beatrice used her grant to attend the ICMEMOHRI 2024 CONFERENCE, ICOM in Kigali, Rwanda from 27 July -2 August 2024.

The conference, titled African Memorial and Human Rights Museums Building a More Sustainable Future for Peace, addressed decolonization and sustainable practices in museums as a safe place for healing and conflict resolution, where people can air their views without being judged. As museums around the world are moving from being object-based museums to audience-based museums, they can provide spaces to promote peace, harmony and the wellbeing of their audiences.
You can now read Beatrice’s brilliant and emotive report on her ICMEMOHRI 2024 CONFERENCE experience here.

We were delighted to be able to support Beatrice to attend the conference in Kigali and would like to thank her for her fascinating, heartfelt report. We look forward to hearing more from Beatrice about how she is adapting and using her learning back in Nigeria. Good luck!!
