Nehru Memorial Museum & Library

The Nehru Memorial Museum & Library (NMML) was established in memory of Jawaharlal Nehru (1889 – 1964) and is an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. NMML seeks to give a glimpse of Jawaharlal Nehru’s life and work and of the movement to which he gave his life, and a be centre for study and research. It also provides a record of the early years of independent India. The NMML aims to contribute to a better understanding of the man and context of his life to succeeding generations, and thus serve as a link between the past and future of India.
