Mayor of Lincoln!
It is now four days since we set foot in Lincoln, and our twenty fifth day in England. It is amazing to see how each day unfolds and there is a surprise for us. Having spent most of our time at the archaeology and visible storage, we did our presentations and had a chance to meet the staff; we visited a training excavation at Bishop Grosseteste University College.
Nothing however prepared us for what the evening had in store for us. Brian Taylor gave us an informative and entertaining tour through the town. I was then crowned as the mayor of Lincoln. I was oozing with power and this only happened because the Lincoln team had all this for us. Special thanks to Andrea, dawn, Julie, Becky for all they have done to make us comfortable and not forgetting our colleagues back in London!
