Project Weekend

The aim of the project weekend was to get the participants to visit another London-based museum and to comment on their experience.  The participants traveled with their colleagues from their UK  Partner museum placements to one of a number of selected museums.

They were encouraged to think about all aspects of the visitor experience, comparing it to the BM and to other Museums that they have visited in the UK and in their own countries. In particular they were asked to think about audiences, choices of displays and to suggest any changes that they would make.

We had the following groups:

Sir John Soane’s Museum:  Ren Zhuo, Rajeshwari Shah, Marwa Abdel Razek Mahmoud Bdreldin and Akram Ijla

Victoria and Albert Museum of ChildhoodAsad Hayee, Ahmed Ibrahim el-Arabi, Eunice Barminas and Saadu Hashim Rashid

The Wallace Collection:  Esengül Yildiz Öztekin, Lina Abdel-Kader, Ishaq Mohammed Bello and Paul Michael

The Geffrye Museum: Ma Shengnan, Nevine Nizar Zakaria and Saleh S A Adam Mahmoud
