ITP Newsletter 2026, Issue 13 – call for submissions and online meeting announcement!
Deadline: 31 January 2026
ITP Newsletter 2026, Issue 13 – call for submissions
We are very excited to announce the call for submissions for our next newsletter!
The ITP Newsletter 2026 will be our 13th issue and will also be the issue which coincides with the ITP’s 20th anniversary!
To mark this exciting milestone, the 2026 ITP newsletter will be celebration of the global network.
Our theme for 2026 will be “20 Years of Impact: A Legacy of Partnership, Collaboration and Global Connections” as chosen by this issue’s guest editor, Chantal Umuhoza (Rwanda, ITP Fellow 2018, Senior Fellow 2025).

The newsletter will aim to highlight the meaningful partnerships and collaborations that have emerged from participation in the ITP.
We invite ITP fellows to share their stories and experiences, showcasing how being an ITP fellow has helped them forge valuable connections, develop new initiatives, or collaborate with colleagues from other countries. Your contributions will help illustrate the impact of the ITP network and inspire future generations of museum professionals.
In three sections: Partnership and collaboration, your collection in focus and global perspectives, we’d like to encourage fellows to reflect on how being part of this international community has been beneficial to their work and their institutions.
Whether through joint projects, exhibition development, research, or shared expertise, we want to showcase the ways in which the ITP has facilitated ongoing cooperation; be it with other fellows, institutions, or the British Museum. Your stories are vital to demonstrating the enduring value of the ITP legacy and the importance of global collaboration in the museum sector.

The newsletter will also include our usual sections which will enable fellows to share news their institutions and collections more generally:
Did you know that? Where you can tell readers something they may not already know about the cultural sector in your country.
Spotlight on….an opportunity to share an in-depth view of one of the museums/galleries/institutions in our ITP global network.
Bulletin Board where you can share with us what is happening in your institution, i.e., new galleries, exhibitions, community work, special events.
ITP Memory…This is a new section for this special edition newsletter. Share a fond memory from your experiences of the International Training Programme. This could be from the annual programme, a legacy project, or something else!
And Global Network News for short descriptions updating us on your personal and professional news.

ITP Network end of year online catch-up!
To help answer any questions you have about the newsletter, we are excited to share that we will be hosting an ITP network online catchup in December!
The ITP team will be live on Zoom for a casual drop-in session to catch-up with the ITP network. There will be no topic and no presentations, just join us for a chance to catch-up with the ITP team and other members of the network! Also joining us will be Chantal Umuhoza (Rwanda, ITP Fellow 2018, Senior Fellow 2025), who will be coediting the ITP 2026 Newsletter and can help answer questions you have about the newsletter theme.
There is no need to register your attendance or be in the meeting for the whole time. You can join and leave at any time, even if it is just for 5 minutes to say hello!
We will be running two sessions on Thursday 11 December, at 10:00 – 11:00 GMT AND 14:00 – 15:00 GMT.
The links to both meetings will be shared on the ITP Friday email and will be circulated again closer to the time.

Please help us make the 2026 newsletter a celebration of the ITP global network. We want to hear from as many members of the network as possible, from 2006 to 2025. We also hope to see as many of you as possible online on 11 December!
